Jae Bum (23), who had been a member of star group 2PM and left Korea to the USA after he evoked criticism due to his utterance depreciating Koreans, came back to Korea on June 18 after nine months away. The purpose of his visit is to film the Korean and American film “Hype Nation,” in which he will appear as a main actor. A spokesperson of the production company of “Hype Nation” delivered the news on June 17 that he would arrive in Incheon International Airport at 5:50 pm on Asiana Airline.

When you’re feeling falsely accused, let’s look at God’s bigger picture.

If you watch the movie about Joseph’s life story, there is a scene where Potiphar’s tries to seduce Joseph. Potiphar’s wife says to Joseph, “Joseph, spend the night with me,” to which Joseph replies, “I don’t like middle-aged women who are old and ugly like you.” When Potiphar’s wife grabs Joseph’s clothing, he leaves his clothing behind and runs away. She becomes extremely mad and her goodwill towards him turns into rage. She shouts in a loud voice that this slave tried to dishonor me. The scene changes and it shows Potiphar holding a trial in front of the whole household.

Jaebum out forever from 2PM

It’s been made final that Jae-bum, former leader of idol group 2PM, will not be coming back to join the team forever. JYP entertainment disclosed on Thursday on its homepage that Jae-bum’s contract has been cancelled. The agency said that the problem that caused the cancellation of his contract is more serious in nature than the immature postings on the internet that ultimately drove Jae-bum out of the group in the first place.

Don’t make it harder for 2PM, says Jaebum

Park Jae-beom, the former leader of boy band 2PM, has asked his fans to respect his decision to quit the group.

In a terse letter posted on an online fan club community, he also called for his fans to stop criticizing Park Jin-young, the chief of 2PM’s agency JYP Entertainment, for allowing him to quit the band, as he has always supported him.

Around 2:00 pm on Sept 13, 2000 2PM fans from 2PM’s 64 websites have gathered in front of JYPE building for a silent protest. The number of fans were more than they expected, thus 100 police were put in to prepare for any emergency situation. Silent protest was powerful.

Pop idol Park Jae-bum, the leader of 2PM, put himself on an airplane heading to the United States as if he were ordered to leave Korea for this controversial remark, which some people perceived derogatory toward South Korea.

While the controversy is still unfolding, Hankyoreh Sinmun on Saturday ran a piece that pointed out the lack of understanding in Korean society toward the Koreans abroad, who are second or third generations, born to a Korean family there.
