The Wonder Girls, South Korea’s popular five-member girl group, are set to hit China with their Chinese-language album, local media reported Thursday.
“They have finished recording Chinese versions of the songs,” an unnamed official at the group’s agency JYP Entertainment was quoted as saying.
“They will release an album in China early next year,” the official added.
The female pop group earlier this month held their first-ever concert in Shanghai, China.
Debuted in South Korea in 2007, the Wonder Girls have recently made their successful debut in the United States with their single “Nobody” entering the Billboard singles chart and becoming the first South Korean artist to do so.
The girl band is one of the most popular teen idol groups in South Korea, having been ranked top with mega-hit songs such as “Tell Me,” “So Hot,” and “Nobody.” (China View and CRI English)
