Rising teenage girl group f(x) will appear on the opening stage of pop star Beyonce’s Seoul concert.
f(x) was invited as a guest to Beyonce’s second concert in Korea titled “Beyonce I Am … Tour in Seoul 2009” at the Olympic Gymnasium in Seoul on Oct. 20 and 21.
B4H Entertainment, the organizer of Beyonce’s concert, said, “Even though f(x) is new to the music scene, we invited them because they are professional on stage and have characteristic charm. It’s a promising group to become a hot icon in Asia as well as in Korea.”
On the invitation, f(x) commented, “We are honored and delighted to be on the world star Beyonce’s concert as a guest. With this opportunity, we will learn a lot and come.”
Composed of three Korean members (Sulli, Krystal, and Luna) and two Chinese girls (Amber and Victoria), f(x) made their debut with the title song “LA chA TA” in September. The name of the group contains the meaning of the flower which represents women and “(x)” that mimics the letter’s use in algebra.
Gaining popularity among teenagers since its debut, f(x) was recently picked as a “New Chocolate Phone” model of LG Cyon along with top girl group Girls’ Generation. (Korea Herald)
