Lee Seung-ki, whose popularity is soaring in all areas of music, drama and entertainment turned into a “clock girl” on the hit KBS2 program “Happy Together-Two Days and One Night,” which gave everyone a big laugh.
Lee lost a watermelon game to his five other cast members, and the penalty was to travel all the way to Yeonggwang wearing a girl’s wig. During the trip, he had to hold up a clock on the street and shout out the time at every hour. He had to travel by himself to the destination using public transport.
Lee currently plays the cool bad boy “Seon Woo-hwan” in the immensely popular SBS melodrama “Shining Inheritance.” He was aghast when he lost the game, saying, “There’s a romance scene in the drama in the same week that this ‘Two Days’ episode airs.” But he had no choice.
People stared at Lee wearing a hideous wig on the street and shouting out the time.
But he did not falter. Looking at himself in a mirror on the bus, he delightfully remarked “Don’t I look like Sohee of the girls’ band Wonder Girls?” He then tried to copy Sohee’s cute facial expressions such as ballooning his cheek.
After the program, viewers wrote on the homepage, “‘Seung-ki girl’ was so so funny. When he shouted ‘3 o’clock’ on the bus, all our family keeled over laughing.” Another said, “Today was super hilarious and Lee was the funniest.” Others also said they cracked up because of Lee sporting the wig and the clock.
