After abandoning Super Junior in favor of his acting career, Kim Kibum will be joining his SM brothers in the 2nd Asia Tour Super Show 2, which will kick off with a three-day concert at the Seoul Olympic Park Fencing Stadium on July 17 to 19.
Fans (exclusing me) have been wondering whether Kibum will resurface and perform with Super Junior. SM made an announcement to say that “”Of course, Kim Kibum as a member of the Super Junior will participate in the performances.”
Kibum has probably realized that his acting career is going nowhere and rejoining Super Junior will help in boosting his sagging career. In the first place, it was a stupid idea for him to abandon Super Junior, which became his vehicle to be known in Korea and other Asian countries.
Super Junior launched and started promoting their “Sorry, Sorry” album without Kibum’s participation and it proved to be hugely successful. The album sales and awards they garnered only prove that they can survive without Kibum, who barely sings in SuJu songs anway.
Perhaps Kibum has belatedly regretted that his non-participation in promoting “Sorry, Sorry” in shows and other events was a mistake.
From Seoul, the 2nd Asia Tour Super Show 2 will go to Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok, Taipei and seven other Asian cities.
In Japan, Super Junior will have a concert dubbed as “Super Junior Premium Live in Japan” on August 1 and 2 at the Tokyo International Forum Hall A, which can accommodate about 5,000 people.
