The popular boy-band Big Bang will finally release its debut single in Japan as well as launch activities there. Big Bang held its first concert in Japan in March, while its live concert tour in that country was also a big success. The band left for Japan on May 13 to hold a news conference at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Tokyo. It will officially debut in Japan on June 24 by releasing the single “My Heaven.”
G-Dragon, the leader of Big Bang, thanked the group’s Japanese fans for waiting and introduced “My Heaven,” which is a sad song about losing one’s love. G-Dragon wrote the lyrics and participated in the mixing of the song.
Tae-yang said Big Bang will do its best to follow the lead of TVXQ to perform at NHK’s Red & White Year-end Song Festival.
Big Bang signed a contract with the major music record company Universal Music last year and will release its second single on July 8. On that day, the band will hold a large-scale commemorative event at Yoyogi Park in Tokyo, and in fall will stage a concert at the Budokan Hall. (KBS)
